About the Artist

Lydia is drawn to psychological and socially conscious subject matter. Journaling is an important part of Lydia's written and visual expression. Her work often includes video, fabric and stitching and blurs the line between craft and fine art.

Education:
Lydia Prentiss is a graduate of Purchase College, State University of New York where she earned a BFA in Visual Arts with a concentration in Painting and Drawing. Since then, she has studied sculpture, screen printing, psychology and art therapy at the University of Maryland, Gallaudet University and the George Washington University, respectively.
